In the many roles that you take on, you do so much for others. However, juggling so many roles means having a great deal of responsibility and at times this can be pretty overwhelming. And when you're overwhelmed you may feel anxious, discouraged, distraught, angry, frustrated or even fearful.

When this happens you might find that your worrying tends to increase, especially your "What if" thinking. And then your fear of not being good enough takes over. And because you're a people pleaser and don't want to upset or disappoint anyone, you tend to take on more and more responsibilities. And this means that you're always accommodating everyone else's needs because saying "NO" to others makes you feel guilty. Then you find yourself getting frustrated and feeling resentful towards others. And even though you have so much to do and are overwhelmed, you would NEVER ask for help. So you beat yourself up for not being able to do even more and what you are doing, is never by your standards, ever good enough. And while you can usually hold it all together and do what needs to be done, it's become too much lately. And this feels extremely uncomfortable, so you are reaching out hoping to find some balance and a sense of control.
