GROUP THERAPY

You're going through a difficult time. You feel like no one would understand so you keep it all inside. Sometimes it can be a heavy burden to carry. What if there was a place where you could let it all out & be with others who get it?

GROUP THERAPY IS THAT KIND OF PLACE

POSSIBLE GROUP TOPICS MIGHT INCLUDE:

  • Anxiety

  • Grief

  • Assertiveness

  • Living Authentically

  • Relationship Concerns

  • Support Groups for LGBTQ Individuals

  • Support Groups for Family Members and/or Partners of LGBTQ Individuals

Group therapy allows for connection and collaboration with others and for opportunities of sharing and support. This type of therapy can help to normalize what you're going through and lets you know that you're not alone, that there are others out there that may be going through something similar. Groups are a safe and supportive space where you can address your concerns and in turn receive feedback and validation. And where you can offer encouragement and new perspectives for others.

Groups may involve 3-10 individuals, and may meet for 1-2 hours, usually on a weekly basis. They may involve processing your emotions, thoughts, experiences and choices. They may include educational components and can involve learning new skills to help you navigate your current situation. The groups may be open or closed and may run on an ongoing basis or for a specific number of sessions.
